Eighteen-year-old Jade Dalton, her brother David and best friend Elaine were asked to house sit the Victorian mansion in Charleston for the summer by her grandparents while they visited parts in Europe.

However, there is something spooky in the house. Things begin to disappear, move out of their original spots, or start flying all over the place. It’s soon discovered the ghost died on her wedding. Phoebe, the ghost, gives Jade a quest in order for Phoebe to finally rest in peace, and this is where the adventure begins.

Beverly Stowe McClure’s writing voice brings each character in Listen To The Ghost alive. The action moves the story forward at a nice pace, and fully fleshed characters bring realism and fun to the novel. The author also adds mystery, connecting Jade and two other boys where the reader joins in to figure out the puzzle.

A truly enjoyable and fun read for the whole family.
