The List: A Love Story in 781 Chapters
By Aneva Stout
Workman Publishing Company 2006
Pages: 94

You meet Mr. Right. You find out too late he's Mr. Terribly Wrong. You call your girlfriend.
a. She takes you shopping for new clothes.
b. She takes you out for a few drinks.
c. She understands completely.

The List is just as the title indicates: A Love Story in 781 (very short) Chapters, several accented by delightful multiple choice add-ons.

The List follows the rocky journey of a woman through life's many twists and turns as she seeks her one true love. We travel with her as she finds Mr. Right, discovers he's Mr. Wrong, backtracks to Mr. Ex-boyfriend, rediscovers why he is an Ex, and then onward through many other hilarious escapades. Along the way, author Aneva Stout shares advice from the Mother ("It's as easy to love a rich man as a poor man"), the girlfriend ("I guess we're going to have to go shopping") and even the cat (who just sleeps on her face whenever disaster strikes). Sound familiar?

Stout entertains us with humorously accurate insights into how life in the dating world works. Pleasantly surprising is how she also ropes us into The List's captivating storyline. You'll find yourself unable to put the book down until you finish the 781st chapter .

A Great Read!
